Definition of Aluminum Plate

Aluminum plate is a kind of aluminium material whose thickness is above 0.2 mm to 500 mm, whose 

width is above 200 mm, and whose length is less than 16 M. Aluminum plate is below 0.2 mm, and its 

width is less than 200 mm.

Aluminum plate refers to rectangular plate rolled and processed with aluminium ingot, which is 

divided into pure aluminium plate, alloy aluminium plate, thin aluminium plate, medium and thick 

aluminium plate and pattern aluminium plate.

Aluminum sheets are usually divided into the following two categories:

1. According to the composition of the alloy, it can be divided into:

（1）High purity aluminium sheet (rolled from high purity aluminium with content over 99.9)

（2）Pure aluminium sheet (basically rolled from pure aluminium)

（3）Aluminum alloy sheets (consisting of aluminium and auxiliary alloys, usually series of 

aluminium copper, aluminium manganese, aluminium silicon, aluminium magnesium, etc.)

（4）Composite aluminium sheet or quinone welded sheet (special purpose aluminium sheet material 

obtained by means of composite materials)

（5）Aluminum clad sheet (Aluminum clad sheet used for special purposes)

2. According to thickness, it can be divided into: (unit mm)

（1）Thin Sheet 0.15-2.0

（2）Conventional plate 2.0-6.0

（3）Medium Plate 6.0-25.0

（4）Thick plate 25-200

（5）Five-bar pattern aluminium sheet

（6）Over 200 Ultra-thick Plates
